Pump refills seem to go quite easily these days! Thank goodness for Primary Children's Hospital! That will be his last refill with this pump though. It's hard to believe that he has had it for 6 years now. The battery life is good for up to 7 years and the Nuerosurgeon encourages to have it replaced closer to the 6 year mark in case the battery dies sooner. So we were told that there is an opening next week for Dakota.....our mouths hit the floor. I don't think that I'm ready to see him go through it again. We have decided that we will wait until the end of March or first of April. That way he will not miss his Jr. Jazz season that starts the first of January. We have no idea what to expect for recovery this time. Last time was pure hell. Who knows though, after six years he has come along way. It may be a breeze. We are just so thankful for the technology that we have in today's world and to see the progress Dakota has made in these 6 years. We look back at home videos of him and we realize how far we have all come. So, until the next Baclofen Pump Replacement.................
